A diet, especially diet that's meant for losing weight has a high drop out rate. Meaning that people are likely to quit their weight loss diet programs, sooner or later. Usually people quit no later than 6 months. The reason is they are not patient enough to see the result. And diet result also fluctuates depending on the person activities and meals. Here are five quick tips to ensure that your diet don't go on a losing streak.
First you should keep your fitness schedule as varied as possible. Exercises are great for your health, but you can easily get bored by it. Nothing looks more boring than doing the same thing over and over again. Vary your exercise accordingly; don’t let boredom become a reason for your failure. Ask the personal trainer to help you schedule a fun exercise if you can’t come up with it.
Few things are not as good as trying to get your body into good figure and failing. Fitness programs require courage and discipline in order to make it successful. Boredom is your enemy, you will likely to drop out in the first 5 months if you don’t do it right. Many people also can’t wait to see the result, and when they see that the result is not as great as they expect it, they fed up and quit exercising. Boredom, busy schedules and a feeling of being fit enough can become the excuses for people to stop exercising
Second, set a reasonable goal to yourself. Don’t let those former obese people taunt you by boasting their quick 30 pounds in a month experience. The last thing you want to do is to fail upon a unreasonable goal. If you want to be thinner, and then decide on a number of pounds you want to shed. But whatever you do, set a clear goal so you don’t have to guess whether you’re making progress or not. Dropping two pound in two weeks is a reasonable goal that you can use as your guideline.
Third, you should and really should to write meals diary. It’s no use exercising if you end up eating the unhealthy and fatty foods. Always make sure you’re keeping track of your eating menu. This will help keep you motivated because you can re-read it and evaluate from there. If you’re going for weight loss, don’t give in to the temptation to weigh yourself every day. Body weight fluctuates naturally from one day to the other and depends on many factors. Don’t let those extra orange juices that add up your weight discourage you. Your meals should reflect your will to lose weight. Start to consume salad as a negative calories diet for your lunch.
Last you should find like minded people. Remember that like minded people will support you since you have similar goals. And if you or they want to quit you can always put a stop to it. They will keep you motivated and remind you of your goal. By sharing experiences about diet, exercises and you can help each other achieve your goals. Remember that weight loss is a journey that probably will take a long time to finish so your chance of finishing it would increase if you are not alone.
