The focus is on keeping it simple so you don't have to think about complexity and any web tech. But you can add html and script languages. Check out the video "Help" > "Add Html" inside CirclePad. Databases are really for programmers if you want to do that kind of work you can use CirclePad as the front end of the site and link to work done by programmers on a different site or sub-domain.

if you want to create a free website, you will have to go through these three very simple steps:
1)Coding: if you don't know web designing than you can hire someone to outsource the codes for you.
2)Domain Name – You need to register a Domain Name, it is the name of your website.
3)Web Host – Web Hosts are the companies which rent space on their web servers.

Backgrounds are on the left under "Page" > "Background" > "Use Image".
Videos are on the left under "Media" > "You tube".
Private pages with logins and passwords are part of the Unlimited version.

If you're asking about the page size you can change it under "File" > "Page Setup". Also you can set it in more detail under "Custom" on the page setup menu.
